SDDPS Announces Statewide Sobriety Checkpoints

(Pierre, SD) — The South Dakota Department of Public Safety is announcing its sobriety checkpoints for the month of April. Twenty-one checkpoints will be set up in 16 counties over the next four weeks. They’re designed to discourage people from drinking and driving. People who’ve been drinking are encouraged to find a designated, sober driver or use public transportation.
