Burn Bans In Place After Minot Grass Fire

(Minot, ND) — Burn bans are in place in Ward County after a Minot grass fire. The fire burned around 100 acres of land south of Minot International airport Monday. Fire officials believe the blaze started as a controlled burn and went wrong because of strong winds. The ban applies when the fire index is high or above or when a red flag warning is issued.
