(Washington, DC) — Senator John Hoeven’s office says a North Dakota farmer detained in Ukraine has been moved out of the capital city of Kyiv. Ukrainian officials say Kurt Groszhans is being held for allegedly plotting to assassinate a senior government official who was his business partner. Hoeven’s office says details about where Groszhans was moved to and when are limited. Hoeven’s office says the ultimate goal is to get the North Dakota farmer out of the country. North Dakota U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer met with Groszhans during a trip to Ukraine in January and passed along messages from his family.
