Twins Open Season Against Mariners

(Minneapolis, MN) — Opening Day is arriving for the Minnesota Twins. The club hosts the Seattle Mariners to open the 2022 season at Target Field this afternoon. The Twins are looking to rebound from a disappointing 73-and-89 campaign in 2021. Minnesota brought in shortstop Carlos Correa, traded for starting pitcher Sonny Gray, catcher Gary Sanchez, and infielder Gio Urshela, and signed pitchers Dylan Bundy and Chris Archer in the offseason to help them retool for the season. Joe Ryan will start for the Twins today against reigning AL Cy Young award winner Robbie Ray. First pitch is set for 3:10 PM.
