Nearly 100 ND Veterans List DC On Honor Flight

(Bismarck, ND) — Nearly 100 North Dakota veterans are getting the chance to see national memorials and monuments up close. The veterans recently took a Western ND Honor Flight that recognizes them for their service with a trip to Washington, DC to see monuments built in their honor. The veterans came from nearly every North Dakota community and left for their trip yesterday morning. The veterans will be able to see memorials from American wars, the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery, and other sites. Honor Flights started in 2005 with only two veterans, and have now flown over 250-thousand to the nation’s capital.
