Measure To Raise Sioux Falls Mayor, Council Pay Fails

(Sioux Falls, SD) — Sioux Falls Mayor Paul TenHaken and members of the city council won’t be getting pay raises. A ballot measure that would have increased salary of the mayor and city council members failed at the polls yesterday. TenHaken has said he didn’t want a pay raise. A measure that expands the role of the City Council in connection with the city attorney passed.
