(Pierre, SD) — South Dakota Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg says the Senate will vindicate him in an upcoming impeachment trial and that he isn’t resigning. The state House narrowly voted to impeach Ravnsborg yesterday for his actions surrounding the September 2020 crash where he hit and killed a pedestrian. Republican Governor Kristi Noem applauded the House’s vote in a tweet. This is the first time in state history that articles of impeachment have been adopted for a constitutional officer.
