Twins Collapse In Eighth

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins gave up six runs in the top of the eighth inning during a 7-2 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers at Target Field. Emilio Pagan, Caleb Thielbar, and Jhon Romero all struggled to get through the disastrous inning on the mound. Pagan was tagged with loss, which ends a two-game winning streak for the Twins.

The Minnesota Twins are shuffling around their bullpen. The team placed right handed pitcher Jorge Alcala on the 10-day injured list yesterday as he deals with inflammation in his throwing elbow. Alcala has pitched two-and-a-third scoreless innings out of the pen this season, but his velocity in his last appearance was lower than usual. In a corresponding move, the Twins recalled reliever Griffin Jax from Triple-A St. Paul.
