Lawsuit Dismissed Against East River Electric

(Sioux Falls, SD) — A federal judge is putting an end to an ongoing legal fight between Dakota Energy and East River Electric. A lawsuit filed by Dakota Energy, an electric cooperative, against East River has been dismissed, which means it must continue its contract with East River. The contract runs through 2075. The cooperative had been trying to get out of the deal, citing dramatically increased prices by East River.
