(Rapid City, SD) — Supporters of the legalization of recreational marijuana have launched what they say is the home stretch to their petition drive to place the question on the November ballot. The group was in Rapid City this weekend to begin rounding up the last 64-hundred signatures needed for the ballot measure. The measure won 54 percent approval by voters two years ago but it was struck down by the state Supreme Court due to a single subject issue for constitutional amendments. Organizers say this proposal is more conservative than the first measure and focuses more on the general legalization aspect.
