(Bismarck, ND) — State officials say last week’s blizzard led to a slowdown in North Dakota’s daily oil output. North Dakota Pipeline Authority Director Justin Kringstad says daily oil output dropped by 25-percent. Kringstad says incoming winter weather could continue the production slowdown. Kringstad says it typically takes one to three weeks for the oil industry to recover from an extreme weather event.
