Sioux Falls Using Grant To Increase Health Food Access

(Sioux Falls, SD) — Sioux Falls Mayor Paul TenHaken and Public Health Director Charles China are discussing the city’s Eat Well, Sioux Fall program. The city council approved a grant of 400-thousand dollars yesterday for the program that is meant to increase access to healthy food in “food access priority areas.” The areas targeted have little or no access to grocery providers for those with limited transportation options. The funds will be used to encourage businesses to provide services in the targeted areas.
