Over 30-Thousand Jobs Open In South Dakota

(Pierre, SD) — South Dakota has an increasing number of job openings. The state Department of Labor and Regulation says the are over 30-thousand job openings in the state, up from 29-thousand openings reported in October. South Dakota has a two-point-five percent unemployment rate, over a percent lower than the national rate of three-point-six percent. DLR Secretary Marcia Hultman credits the state’s work ethic and Governor Kristi Noem’s Open for Business approach to the pandemic of the state’s low unemployment numbers.
