(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins beat the Tigers 5-4 on a wild play in the bottom of the ninth inning at Target Field. Down by one run, Miguel Sano hit a single that would’ve loaded the bases, but Tigers catcher Eric Haase tried to throw out Trevor Larnach at third and threw the ball into the outfield. Larnach scored the tying run on the error, and Gio Urshela came in with the winning run. Griffin Jax got the win out of the bullpen to improve to 1-and-0. Max Kepler had a double, a home run, and three RBI as the Twins have won five-straight games. Joe Ryan starts for Minnesota against the Tigers tonight.
