Wild Fall To Coyotes

(St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota Wild couldn’t put away the worst team in the NHL in a 5-3 loss to the Arizona Coyotes at the Xcel Energy Center. After trailing by two in the third period, Joel Eriksson Ek and Marcus Foligno each scored to tie the game, but Minnesota gave up Travis Boyd’s go-ahead goal halfway through the third period and was unable to fight back. Ryan Hartman also lit the lamp in the losing effort. The regulation loss snaps a ten-game point streak for the Wild, who remain tied with St. Louis for second place in the Central Division with 109 points. Minnesota hosts Calgary tomorrow night.
