(St. Paul, MN) — Kirill Kaprizov scored in the first minute of overtime as the Minnesota Wild took down the Calgary Flames 3-2 at the Xcel Energy Center. Calgary’s Elias Lindholm scored in the final three minutes of regulation to force the extra period. Jonas Brodin and Frederick Gaudreau each scored for Minnesota in regulation. The Wild are in second place in the Central Division with 111 points, just two points ahead of St. Louis.
