(Minneapolis, MN) — The injury bug is still biting the Minnesota Twins. The team placed starting pitcher Chris Paddack and shortstop Carlos Correa on the ten-day injured list yesterday. Correa is dealing with a bruised middle finger, and his placement on the IL is retroactive to Friday. Paddack has inflammation in his throwing elbow after he was pulled early in his start on Sunday. Paddack and the Twins haven’t ruled out Tommy John surgery yet, meaning Paddack could miss the rest of his first season in Minnesota. To replace Correa and Paddack on the roster, Minnesota called up outfielder Mark Contreras and right-handed pitcher Jharel Cotton from Triple-A.
