Twins Avoid No-Hitter In Loss

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins broke up Justin Verlander’s no-hit bid with one out in the eighth inning of a 5-0 loss to the Houston Astros at Target Field. Gio Urshela got Minnesota’s first hit in the losing effort. Joe Ryan was tagged with the loss after giving up four runs in four innings of work. The Twins fall to 18-and-12, and they’ll send Chris Archer to the mound against Houston tonight.
