Twins Call Up Cano

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins made some more roster moves before their game yesterday. The team called up relief pitcher Yennier Cano from the St. Paul Saints. Cano was dominating at Triple-A, striking out 14 hitters in 12 innings without giving up an earned run. He technically made his MLB debut in yesterday’s game, but he didn’t throw a pitch. He was announced as the team’s pitcher to begin the fourth inning right before a rain delay began. To make room for Cano, Minnesota placed reliever Danny Coulombe on the 15-day injured list.
