State Lawmakers Say Ravnsborg’s Conviction is Opportunity for Restoration of Trust in Office

(Sioux Falls, SD) — Governor Kristi Noem and Democratic Party leaders both agree the removal from office of Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg is an opportunity to restore trust in the attorney general’s office. Meanwhile, neither Ravnsborg or his attorney has issued any response to the decision to remove him from office. Ravnsborg was removed from office Tuesday over his actions in a 2020 fatal car accident in which he was the driver. Yesterday, Noem said it’s time to restore faith in the attorney general’s office. The state Democratic Party similarly said Ravnsborg’s actions had undermined the integrity of the office.
