South Dakota Board of Regents Expands Sales of Alcohol at State Universities

(Vermillion, SD) — The South Dakota Board of Regents has approved the expansion of the alcohol sales policy to extend the sale of alcohol into general admission areas of the performing arts and athletic events. The board gave its unanimous approval to the expansion — which had been sought by students — at its meeting yesterday at the University of South Dakota. The policy is set to take effect at the beginning of the upcoming school year and will apply at all six universities. Prior to the expansion, alcohol sales were only allowed in box seats and loge areas.
