Noem Wants Political Conversation To Shift To Paid Family Leave

(Pierre, SD) — Governor Kristi Noem says she wants to see political conversation to shift toward establishing better paid family leave policies. Noem said on CNN’s State of the Union over the weekend that the topic is important now that South Dakota has implemented an abortion ban. A trigger law went into effect that bans abortion following the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. South Dakota currently doesn’t provide paid family leave.
