Wild Bring Back Fleury

(St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota Wild are keeping their goaltending tandem together. The team signed Marc-Andre Fleury to a two-year deal worth seven million dollars yesterday. Minnesota added the 37-year-old to its roster in a trade with the Chicago Blackhawks in March. He went 9-and-2 with a 2.74 goals-against average in 11 regular-season games with the Wild, but he was 2-and-3 in the team’s first-round playoff loss to the St. Louis Blues. The Wild now have both Fleury and 2022 All-Star Cam Talbot under contract to play in-goal next season. Meanwhile, the Wild selected Liam Ohgren with the 19th overall pick and Danila Yurov with the 24th overall pick in the first round of yesterday’s NHL draft. Minnesota has six more picks to make as rounds two through seven of the draft take place today.
