City Approval Pending For Bismarck Police Body Cameras

(Bismarck, ND) — The Bismarck Police Department says purchase approval for body cameras by the city is pending. The deputy chief says the budget committee has given early indications that it will sign off on the purchase. The department wants to buy cameras for all 133 officers. The proposed system would include in-car video cameras that would be installed in all of the department’s squad cars.
