North Dakota Poultry Event Ban Ends, Not In Time For Fair

(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota’s temporary ban on poultry events is being lifted. The State Board of Animal Health ended the ban yesterday, but the move came too late to make poultry exhibits available for the State Fair. The Animal Health Board canceled all poultry and bird shows, public sales, swaps, and exhibitions in March to help limit the spread of avian influenza. The national bird virus outbreak is now waning.
