SF Man Pleads Not Guilty To Charges Connected To Idaho Attempted Riot

(Sioux Falls, SD) — A Sioux Falls man is pleading not guilty to charges connected to an attempt to disrupt and riot at a Pride event in Idaho. Authorities say Derek Smith was part of a group of white supremacists called the Patriot Front which tried to threaten Pride event goers at an Idaho city park with violence on June 11th. He was one of over 30 people arrested and is charged with conspiracy to riot. He is due back in court through Zoom in August.
