North Dakota Identifies First Monkeypox Case

(Bismarck, ND) — The North Dakota Department of Health says it has identified the state’s first case of monkeypox. Initial testing confirmed that the person is infected with the virus. Health officials say the individual likely acquired the virus while traveling out of state. Most people with monkeypox recover without treatment.
