1970 Rapid City Murder Victim’s Belongings Returned To Daughter

(Rapid City, SD) — A Rapid City murder victim’s belongings are going back to her daughter. Faye Johnson was shot and killed by Harvey Bray in 1970 when Francine Howard was only 18 months old. Pennington County Sheriff’s Office Captain Tony Harrison says the evidence was discovered as computer techs worked to digitize old case files. Harrison says he has been able to provide Howard with facts she didn’t know about her mother’s murder. Among the belongings were photos of both Faye and Francine, an address book, and a personal letter about her mother’s life addressed to Faye’s parents.
