(Pierre, SD) — An electric vehicle charging station network for South Dakota’s interstates is set to be built. State Department of Transportation Director Mike Behm presented a plan to the Transportation Commission yesterday. Funding for the project will come from 29-million dollars in federal grants and local investment. South Dakota is one of a handful of states that hasn’t installed an alternative fuel corridor the U.S. Department of Transportation is asking for.
