(Eagan, MN) — The Minnesota Vikings had an injury scare during the first day of padded practices at training camp yesterday. Tight end Irv Smith Jr. left practice early with a trainer. He reportedly did not need assistance exiting the field, and he returned to watch practice later in the day. Smith missed all of last season with a knee injury, and he is expected to be Minnesota’s starting tight end when he’s healthy this season. The Purple continues training camp today.
