Twins Add Four At Trade Deadline

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins are bringing in four new players at the MLB trade deadline. The Twins bolstered their bullpen by adding All-Star closer Jorge Lopez from Baltimore, and they acquired former rookie of the year Michael Fulmer from Detroit. Minnesota sent four prospects including Yennier Cano and Cade Povich to the O’s, and Sawyer Gipson-Long was sent to the Tigers. The Twins also acquired starting pitcher Tyler Mahle from the Reds in exchange for three of their top-25 prospects. Additionally, Minnesota sent pitcher Ian Hamilton to the Guardians in order to get back-up catcher Sandy Leon. In other club news, infielder Jose Miranda was named as the Rookie of the Month for July yesterday afternoon.
