(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota is nearing two-thousand COVID-19 cases a week. The state Health Department says cases are up four-percent from the previous week, up 23-percent from a month ago, and up 80-percent from two months ago. Officials say a highly-contagious omicron subvariant is driving the higher case numbers. Just over 90 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in the state over the past week. Two deaths from the virus have been reported in the past week.
