SUV, Dump Truck Crash Leave One Dead, Five Injured Near Woonsocket

(Woonsocket, SD) — A woman is dead and five other people are injured after a crash between an SUV and a dump truck near Woonsocket. The crash happened Thursday afternoon six miles out of the town. Authorities say an SUV traveling west on 230th Street failed to yield at an intersection and collided with a dump truck. The 72-year-old male driver sustained life-threatening injuries. A 70-year-old female passenger was killed, and three children suffered minor injuries. The driver of the dump truck sustained minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
