(Rapid City, SD) — A World War Two veteran is being honored at the National Purple Heart Convention. Harold Nelson was presented with the Medal of Valor yesterday for his bravery of the battlefield. Nelson is 107-years-old and was drafted in 1941. He was wounded four times during the war and survived beach landings in Africa and Europe. Nelson is also a Silver Star recipient.
