(Bismarck, ND) — Some North Dakota school buses have gotten a technology upgrade for the new school year. In Harlow, buses have been equipped with cameras both inside and outside. The inside cameras help drivers keep track of the back of the bus, while the outside ones detect vehicles that illegally pass stopped school buses. If someone passes a stopped school bus, all the bus driver has to do is push a button, which will save that segment of the video. Then the driver can fill out a form with the make, model, and license plate which they can send to the Bismarck Police Department, along with the video clip.
