(Fargo, ND) — The Fargo school board is reversing course again and reinstating its practice of reciting the Pledge of Allegiance before its meetings. The board decided yesterday that reinstating the pledge would move the focus toward more important issues in the district. Members of the board faced extensive criticism and threats after voting last week to stop reciting the pledge because they said the words “under God” went against the district’s inclusion policy. Last week’s seven-to-two vote overturned a previous policy put in place several months before the election.
