Former Hillsdale College Professor To Consult On New Social Studies Standards

(Sioux Falls, SD) — A former Hillsdale College professor is being hired by the state to consult on South Dakota’s new social studies content standards. William Morrisey was a professor of politics at the college and will be paid up to 200-thousand dollars for his services. Morrisey will help select commission members and will be responsible for facilitating meetings, drafting and submitting standards, and approving the final standards. Hillsdale College is a private conservative Christian school in Hillsdale, Michigan.
