(Pierre, SD) — The Department of Health is confirming that South Dakota has its second monkeypox case. Data released by the CDC Thursday showed the new case. The new case comes over a month after a man in his 30s from eastern South Dakota was reported to have the virus. The virus is spread through close, personal contact, such as skin-to-skin contact.
