Twins Come Up Short

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Twin’s offensive woes continue following a 2-1 loss to the Rangers at Target Field. Minnesota left seven men on base and went one-for-seven with runners in scoring position. Nick Gordon gave the Twins an early 1-0 lead with an RBI double in the fourth, but Sonny Gray allowed two runs in six innings and was charged with his second loss. Byron Buxton exited the game in the seventh inning with right hip tightness. The Twins are now two games back of Cleveland for first place in the AL Central at 62-and-58. Aaron Sanchez will start for Minnesota when the club visits Houston tonight.
