(Eagan, MN) — The Vikings are getting their starting tight end back on the practice field. Irv Smith Jr. practiced in limited capacity yesterday. Smith had surgery on his right thumb three weeks ago, and he missed all of the 2021 season with a knee injury. In other Vikings news, the team waived cornerback Harrison Hand and tight end Shaun Beyer yesterday. Minnesota also placed linebacker Ryan Connelly and wide receiver Blake Proehl on the PUP list.
