(Bismarck, ND) — Opponents of critical race theory are speaking out about proposed drafting rules for North Dakota’s K through 12 public school ban on the theory. Discussion at a rules meeting yesterday became heated as opponents blaster gender identity issues and how history is taught. Some at the meeting considered the controversy a non-issue and focused on issues like suicide, mental health, and racism. The Legislature banned the teaching of critical race theory last year.
