(Devils Lake, ND) — A new leader is in place at North Dakota’s School for the Deaf. State Superintendent of Public Instruction Kiersten Baesler announced yesterday that she had hired Donna Sorensen as superintendent for the School for the Deaf-Resource Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Sorensen began working at the school earlier this month. She has worked as an administrator at schools for the deaf in Montana, Washington, Alabama, and Mississippi. She spent eight years as outreach director and superintendent for the Montana School for the Deaf and Blind from 2012 to 2020.
