College Football Round Up

(Undated) — It’s a busy weekend for college football throughout the Dakotas. Tomorrow, 1-and-1 South Dakota State hosts Butler in the Beef Bowl, 0-and-2 South Dakota is at home against Cal Poly, 1-and-1 North Dakota visits Northern Arizona, and the 2-and-0 NDSU Bison are on the road against Arizona.

Gophers Host Colorado

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Gophers will try to stay undefeated when they host Colorado at Huntington Bank Stadium tomorrow. The Gophers are 2-and-0 overall after beating Western Illinois 62-10 last Saturday. The Gophers beat Colorado 30-0 when the two teams faced off in 2021. Tomorrow’s game is Minnesota’s final contest before Big Ten play begins.

Cyclones Host Ohio

(Ames, IA) — The Iowa State Cyclones will try to stay undefeated when they host Ohio at Jack Trice Stadium tomorrow. The Cyclones are coming off a 10-7 win over Iowa in the Cy-Hawk game last weekend to improve to 2-and-0. The contest is Iowa State’s last one before Big 12 play begin. Tomorrow’s game kicks off at 1PM.

Hawkeyes Welcome Nevada

(Iowa City, IA) — The Iowa Hawkeyes will try to get their offense going when they host Nevada at Kinnick Stadium tomorrow night. Iowa has scored just one touchdown on offense through two games this season, but the team is sticking with Spencer Petras at quarterback for now. The Hawkeyes are 1-and-1 after their 10-7 loss to Iowa State last Saturday.

Cornhuskers Welcome Oklahoma

(Lincoln, NE) — The Nebraska Cornhuskers welcome an old foe back to Lincoln for the first time since 2009. The Huskers host number-six Oklahoma at Memorial Stadium tomorrow. It will be Nebraska’s first game since firing head coach Scott Frost and replacing him with Mickey Joseph for the rest of the season. The Cornhuskers lost to the Sooners 23-16 when the former Big 12 rivals met for the first time in over a decade in Norman last season.
