(Fargo, ND) — A Fargo attorney and former state lawmaker is being considered to serve as U.S. attorney for North Dakota. McLain “Mac” Schneider was nominated for the position this week by President Biden. Schneider operates a private practice in Fargo and Grand Forks. He served as a state Senator from 2008 to 2016 and was minority leader during the 2013 and 2015 sessions. Schneider’s nomination must be confirmed by the U.S. Senate.
