Former Bank Employee Sentenced To Supervised Release, Fine

(Beulah, ND) — A former bank employee is facing supervised release and a fine for a federal misdemeanor charge. Kelly Huffman was sentenced yesterday after pleading guilty to misapplying bank funds. He is one of three men indicted in November on charges they attempted to defraud banks in Beulah and Glen Ullin. Prosecutors say Huffman issued a 125-thousand dollar check advance to another bank at the request of former bank president Brady Torgerson. Huffman wasn’t ordered to pay restitution.
