Vikings Place Cine On Injured Reserve

(Eagan, MN) — Lewis Cine is officially being placed on injured reserve. The Vikings first-round safety had successful surgery on his left yesterday and is expected to miss the rest of the 2022 season. Cine suffered a compound fracture in his lower leg during Minnesota’s win over New Orleans on Sunday. To replace Cine on the roster, the Vikings activated linebacker Ryan Connelly from the physically unable to perform list. The Vikings also cut defensive lineman Jaylen Twyman and wide receiver Travis Toivonen from the practice squad, and they signed defensive lineman Khyiris Tonga off of Atlanta’s practice squad. Minnesota hosts Chicago on Sunday.
