North Dakota’s Oil Industry Shows Meager Growth In August As Per-Barrel Price Rises

(Bismarck, ND) — If the latest numbers are any indication, North Dakota’s oil-production is on life support. Yesterday, officials with the state Department of Mineral Resources announced that oil production was basically flat in August while natural gas production remained flat. The only good news, analysts say, was that oil tax revenues exceeded the most recent estimates in August by more than 7 percent, this as August’s average price for North Dakota crude rose to a little over 90-dollars per barrel.
