FARGO, NORTH DAKOTA – Fargo firefighters responded to a garage fire at 737 2nd St. N in Fargo at 9:00 a.m. on October 15, 2022. First arriving units found a single-story, double-wide, detached garage with the interior fully involved. There was enough distance between all of the surrounding structures that none of them were threatened.
The first arriving engine pulled a hose line and attacked the fire while performing a search of the garage for any occupants. Other units provided support to the first arriving engine by laying a water supply line from a hydrant to the engine, opening up doors for a secondary exit, and ventilating the smoke. The fire was knocked down five minutes after the first fire unit’s arrival. All fire units were clear by 11:40 a.m.
There were no injuries. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The initial damage estimate is $50,000 including the garage and its contents.
