Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Charges in Roberts County

(Roberts County, SD) — A traffic stop in Roberts County over the weekend has led to drug charges for one man. According to the Roberts County Sherriff’s Office, a deputy conducted a traffic stop around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon after seeing a car traveling over 90 mph on I-29. A search of the vehicle found methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia inside. The driver of the vehicle, Hazen Dumarce Jr, was taken into custody and charge with numerous charges including possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and careless driving.

There were also two children in the vehicle who were unharmed. Dumarce Jr was also charged with contributing to the abuse-neglect or delinquency of a child.
