(Rapid City, SD) — Montana-Dakota Utilities is considering hiking natural gas rates for customers. The MDU 2022-23 natural gas price outlook indicates customers could see a 30-dollar per month increase over the 2021-22 season. MDU says a colder than average winter could mean a 40 dollar per month jump in rates. The utility cites gas being used for electric generation in the summer, the war in Ukraine, and less gas stored for the season as reasons for the potential hikes.
